Ever since the Department of Energy recently relaxed their standards on disposal, radiactive waste has been getting into ordinary landfills undocumented and recycled into American-made consumer products. Europe is already refusing to buy many American-made products, so what happens when the economy takes another nosedive? Meanwhile Italy is seeking permission to send 20,000 tons of radioactive waste to the States now that they can't unload it on Somalia, and America can make it vanish into our consumer products. American political apathy is going to make its citizens glow in the dark.
